I was emailed and phoned last week by the office of the Pensions Regulator. You are probably all wholly familiar and compliant with the rules but they have asked me to circulate these messages.
The main message is that they have been carrying out spot checks on employers in the North East, including Newcastle and North Shields. This is their Press Release:

My guess is that these spot checks have now stopped. It looks as if the main purpose of this is to persuade employers to do what’s needed, rather than to impose fines, at least at this stage.
The other message is to alert/remind employers that auto-enrolment brings not just an obligation to set up the scheme but also ongoing duties – this is their guidance:
